The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. While driving, smoke emitted from the air conditioning vents. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (yakima Dodge located at 1701 S 1st yakima, wa 98901) where it was diagnosed that the air conditioner compressor needed to be repaired. The parts were on backorder until August. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the information for the case manager: Tonya at Dodge customer care, 1-800-763-8422, ext 40306. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 22,000. Updated 09/01/17 the consumer stated the A/C compressor clutch was burnt. The vehicle was repaired. Updated 09/06/2017
