Summary
"FLASH: 2.0L DIAGNOSTIC AND SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS THIS BULLETIN INVOLVES SELECTIVELY ERASING AND REPROGRAMMING THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) WITH NEW SOFTWARE. THE CUSTOMER MAY DESCRIBE A MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) ILLUMINATION. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION A TECHNICIAN MAY FIND ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING DTCS SET IN THE PCM MEMORY: · **P0335 - CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT. · P2610 - PCM INTERNAL ENGINE OFF TIMER PERFORMANCE.** · U0140 - LOST COMMUNICATION WITH BODY CONTROL MODULE. · P1D73 - AGS PERFORMANCE. · P0116 - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 1 PERFORMANCE. · P0456 - EVAP SYSTEM SMALL LEAK. IN ADDITION TO ADDRESSING THE ABOVE DTCS, THE FOLLOWING POWERTRAIN SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS/ENHANCEMENTS ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS SOFTWARE RELEASE: · ELECTRONIC VEHICLE INFORMATION CENTER (EVIC) FUEL ECONOMY DISPLAY ACCURACY. · IMPROVED ENHANCED AUTOMATIC OIL CHANGE INDICATOR (EAOCI) SYSTEM ACCURACY. · CORRECTED A GENERIC SCAN TOOL DISPLAY ISSUE REGARDING MODE 6 DATA ACCURACY."
