CarComplaints.com Notes: The first year of the new Dodge Dart had a rough start, with owners reporting a disproportionate number of engine and transmission problems.
For transmission, the main complaints are transmission failure & rough shifting. So far, average mileage for transmission failure is 25,000 miles. Not good.
For engine problems, it usually starts with the engine light coming on for any number of reasons: bad sensors, ignition coil replacement, bad wiring, faulty gas cap ... dealers are replacing various components with varying degrees of success, or telling owners they can't duplicate the issue.

Sunday my windshield was found to have a spontaneous crack, starting at the very top of the windshield, curving around the rear view mirror and extending down about 4 inches. I'm waiting to hear from the dealership on if it's going to be covered or not. Rain is actually leaking in the crack!
This is the second time this exact thing has happened to this car while I had it. I bought it in March of 2014. The last time was July 2014 and It was covered and called a defect. When I called Chrysler customer service about this incident, I found out the there was another time this happened..with the previous owner in July of 2013. Something is obviously wrong for a window to keep spontaneously cracking.
