CarComplaints.com Notes: The first year of the new Dodge Dart had a rough start, with owners reporting a disproportionate number of engine and transmission problems.

For transmission, the main complaints are transmission failure & rough shifting. So far, average mileage for transmission failure is 25,000 miles. Not good.

For engine problems, it usually starts with the engine light coming on for any number of reasons: bad sensors, ignition coil replacement, bad wiring, faulty gas cap ... dealers are replacing various components with varying degrees of success, or telling owners they can't duplicate the issue.

rear bumper cracking

I want to start by saying that this car looks great but it be -20 during the winter In Chicago, I walked down my driveway one day to look back at my car and see that my bumper was cracked... My month old brand new car broken because Dodge was cheap while manufacturing the car. My car sits In the garage always. It has never spent a night outside and I am careful not to do anything to this car and this is what happens.

Bumper cover is brittle in cold weather, the slightest hit could cause the cover to break. Is there a recall on this?

2013 dodge dart the rear bumper cover is extremely thin material that seems to crack at the slightest impact such as a stone flinging up off rear tire. Wondering if anyone else noticed problem or I just got a junk one.
