CarComplaints.com Notes: The first year of the new Dodge Dart had a rough start, with owners reporting a disproportionate number of engine and transmission problems.
For transmission, the main complaints are transmission failure & rough shifting. So far, average mileage for transmission failure is 25,000 miles. Not good.
For engine problems, it usually starts with the engine light coming on for any number of reasons: bad sensors, ignition coil replacement, bad wiring, faulty gas cap ... dealers are replacing various components with varying degrees of success, or telling owners they can't duplicate the issue.

Every winter when the ABS brakes are triggered, the computer shuts down on the car and it loses all operation of buttons and options on the car until it reboots.
Update from Mar 18, 2015: I have reported this problem since winter of 2012/13 and was ignored by my service centre like it was not a big deal. Finally one day the computer never came back on and I took it in to be fixed. they told me it was fixed for now but they ordered me a new cluster and would call me when it came in. Month and a half later after the problem still happening when ABS was triggered I also lost my power steering while breaking behind a car at a light. Called the dealership to find they never ordered me a new cluster and were aware that the problem still existed. They had my car for just over 3 weeks when they told me I had to vome back and get my car even though the problem still existed because Crysler Canada said it wasn't a safety issue and they will call me to come in when they have a fix. How long is a decent amount of time to wait for your brand new car to have something fixed before they admit it cant be and recall and replace the car. not a safety issue my ass Im pretty sure I need my steering. I have been battling now with Crysler Canada for over a week and with the dealership for about 2 months or longer but no one will help me.
