Last year 2015 at the begining of April I noticed that the top of my rear fender's on my truck that the paint started to bubble so I wrote Mopar a letter stating that I was very unhappy about having a vehicle that was only 7 years old and that I keep very clean and take care of cause I would like to keep it for a long time was rusting out. They called me and gave me a claim number which I took to the dealer to have them take pictures and put a claim in for the rust problem. Needless to say that I never heard back from the dealer so I called them 5 times over the next 5 months and they said that the first claim was denied and that it is normal for that to happen so they are puting another claim in. I never heard for them again and frankly I'm tired of calling them so they can lie to me about the whole situation. I've notice that a lot of Dodge trucks and not just the Dakota's are rusting out in the same spot. I just wish they would make good on a bad thing, but I'm sure they won't. I've owned 5 brand new Mopar vehicles since 1994, which includes my wife's Jeep's. I will never buy another Dodge / Ram truck just cause I've been duped by a company who I though I could trust to make a quality product and stand behind it. My 1996 Dakota I had before this one. I owned that for 12 years and didn't have a spot of rust on it. I guess today is about profit and quality takes a back seat.
