Engine light came on, then a few days later there was a rough idle and significant jerking and banging at about 2500 rpms, and shaking over 40 mph. Diagnosed as misfire on cyl. #8, so the coil was replaced, the problem was solved for a few hours, and then it came back. The problem was diagnosed as PCM, cost $2500, problem resolved.
Note: this problem came back several times. There are no replacement PCM's available from FCA and aftermarket PCM's don't work. This will be a chronic issue that's irreparable.
