I received the 2006 Dodge Dakota 4 door R/T in March of 2013, had only 83000 miles on it at the time and it ran really well. The truck is nice. It came with automatic trans, sunroof, chrome wheels, 6 cd stereo, a 4.7 high output engine, but the only problems that I found out is the trans high temp light comes on a lot and as I drive it will go off and then maybe will come on again. Took it in to have a check up on the truck and they told me that the temp sensor was bad and that it is inside the trans and it would cost around 600 dollars, I will wait. I need some minor parts like brakes, tires, exhaust manifold gasket, sway bar, after all of that the truck should drive like it's brand new.
The main problem is that the pillars in the front compartment leaks really bad when it rains hard. The driver side leaks sometime, but the passenger side leaks all of the time, too where I have to get the wet vacuum and vacuum up the water on the floor. I'm just waiting for a recall before I get it fix. Anyway that is the last thing on my to do list. Anybody have that problem, please let me know and how would you fix the problem.
