excessive heat in transmission
Excessive transmission heat light came on randomly. Engine acted like it was giving out less power and the transmission wanted to mainly downshift sending the RPM sky high. My truck has redlined several times due to this issue. It was not low on fluid, the fluid had been replaced approx. 3000-5000 miles before this issue came up. I don't want to blow my engine because of this downshift / excessive heat issue. This issue is really annoying and when I take it to get it looked at, there was no lights on on the dash. Could it be a bad temp sensor? I have no clue. I just wish I had my 94 Silverado back... that Silverado worked way better than this dakota!
