Begin of July 5 I had the spark plugs, wires and coils replaced because it was due and the coil was misfiring - so in total, I paid $300.00 for that then July 15 the #6 and #1 was misfiring so I took it in another $200 for labor parts no charge. They replaced both coils again, and along with that they checked the compression - it was good. They check for leaks - good. So then on the 21st out of nowhere the transmission went out so had that replaced for 3700.00. Then on the 27th again, misfire with #6 so I took it in again. So they replaced the injector and the coil again cost 360.00, then again engine light come on Monday. A rough idle misfire again. I took it in and another 100 dollars to check the wiring and gaps again.

And, now again last night I'm taking it again when they open today. OMG.

This truck has cost me so much money to fix I have maintained it every single time it needs it before actual before it calls to repair I have do the oil change every 3000 miles, and new cooling lines transmission, struts, shocks, brake lines, rotors, sway bar links, upper control arms, all the bushings, the tie rods - inner and outer, shackles all this has been done with in the last year. I bought it at 148000 miles and now it has 151690 miles so it's not like I drive it everyday or commute everyday I bought it 2.5 years ago.

I have put too much money in it to sell it so I'm stuck with it but if I can't fix it I can't drive it. So I have taken it to Dodge and they can't tell me why it keeps misfiring what am I supposed to do when Dodge's own mechanics can't tell me why. So I keep taking it back but having to pay 300 every time I take it back is ridiculous. You would think they would be able to fix it I'm about ready to take it to a Dodge dealership and catch it on fire. Something needs to be done about this - anybody got any advice as to what could fix it or what the problem is.

I have taken it 4 times for the same thing #6 misfiring and even took it to dodge dealer in the last month. I replaced transmission for 3700 and 800.00 for new plugs wires and injector, compression checks, wire new plugs, coils and wires and it's still misfiring every other day.

I bought it 2.5 years ago with 148000 miles. It now has 151,500 regular oil changes every 3000 miles. Something needs to be done I have replaced shocks struts, brakes all around, brake lines, the cooling lines, the upper control arms sway links, shackles, tie rods inner and ends - I don't know what to do anymore.

Myself and my husband are paying for this 2005 dodge Dakota 17,000 some dollars after taxes and all from a place called blueridge auto sales in cherryville pa and ever since we got it have had problems and fixing things as we did with our isuzu ascender. we originally got from them with a trade in the worst headache ever. have Been driving on not all 6 cylinders almost a year now just found out also the vehicle we had before they could not even find out after 7 times in shop the gas tank was bad they had to replace a gear shift because it was broke a heater core in my isuzu because was bad now bad in my dodge Dakota too I went through 5 tires 4 alignments on the isuzu and so much more between both vehicles it's pathetic
