I have a part in steering column broken in my 04 Dodge Dakota. I have the part out and am told the part can not be replaced. I have to buy the entire steering column at a cost of 1400.00. The part is attached to the end of the lever on the left side of the column that you push down to tilt the wheel. It is made of some sort of pot metal that is not very strong. I removed this part in about 30 minutes without any problem. I see no reason for any dealer not being able to order this part. Can this be resolved ?
