shifting lever locks in park when it is 30 degrees
Stuck in Park. When outside temperature drops below freezing, whatever in the ignition switch releases the shifting lever sticks and won't let the shifting lever go into gear. Eventually you can hear a click in the ignition and then the shifting lever works fine. When warm outside no problem. Sounds like the grease in the locking mechanism gets stiff and doesn't allow the locking mechanism to move freely. Have never seen this happen on a vehicle.
