So I bought this truck to have an extra vehicle, a truck! It’s in great shape, but still needs a little tlc.
I have had my mechanic put 4 sets of hubs/bearings on and they go bad within 2 weeks. When I turn the wheel very sharply at all it pops like the front end is going to fall out! The bearings have been torqued using a calibrated digital torque wrench, and used new $20 nuts each time. The shop is scratching their head and I don’t know what to tell them. We have tried 3 different manufacturers, MOOG being the last set. If anyone knows a solution please tell me. I’m at my wits end! I have too much money in it to junk the truck. Also I hate to sell it to anyone and pass the problem on to them. That’s not right. It runs and drives great. Just don’t tell turn sharp into a parking place or people will be staring at me like dude what’s wrong with your truck. The popping is LOUD! Help!
