At 35,000 miles front brake rotors had to be replaced. Prior to this, rotors were turned at 16,000 miles and 21,000 miles. Also, if cruise control is set between 58-60mph vehicle will suddenly downshift 3 gears and will go to 4500 rpms, and then accelerate suddenly to 65 mph. Consumer has taken vehicle to dealer times, but has received no satisfaction. Cause is unknown.
Brake rotors warped so severely after 15000 mi of normal driving that braking was dangerous due to vibration. Dealership replaced rotors, and they warped again within 2500 mi after repair. Dodge wants to charge me $700 for repairs due to their defect!
This vehicle has a little more than 12,000 miles on it, and it has been at repair shop twice for warped rotors. Brake pedall goes to floor when brake pedal is pressed. On. dealer has been contacted.
I took the vehicle into the dealer at 7000 miles for the rotors being gouged. The dealer said it was normal. Called customer service in Michigan and they told the dealer to replace the rotors. One thousand miles later they are gouged again and squealing. Service advisor told me that brake system is under designed for vehicle weight and can't do anything for me. Please help. My brakes on other new Dodge didn't do this until 15 to 20K. Lots of excessive brake dust. Something must be wrong. Thanks.

Brake rotors kept warping for no reason. Brakes would shake when applied. Took vehicle to dealership & mechanic could not locate cause of rotors warping. Replaced rotors again. This was second time they have been replaced.
At approximently 9000 mi. I noticed that the vehicale started to shimmy when the brakes were applied. Then at apporx. 14,000 I took the truck to a Dodge mech. And had the front rotors looked at. The mech. States that the rotors are warped and need to be machined. I think the problem is in the brake pads, causing the rotors to get hot at a faster rate. At this pace I will have to replace the rotors way before I have to replace the pads. I think I know alot about cars and that does not seem right. Thank you.
