E-brake rubbing against frame. Informed dealer who put a rubber hose over cable. Hose fell off 20 miles later. E-brake will eventually wear through and fail. ****dimsii IVOQ entry posted after 12/12/02 cut-over to artemis*****755550
Emergency brake cable rubs on rear leaf spring, dlr says all trucks do it. It is a design flaw and should be recalled. The brake cable will eventually fail when the casing on the cable wears thru and the cable rusts and corrodes.
