This problem started occurring out of nowhere. Leads me to believe this is a problem due to abnormal degradation due to poor manufacturing processes. The problem occurs at about 90-95% of the steering wheel turning to the right. There is a distinct grinding sound when this happens. I have taken this into the dealership in Lancaster California and they were unable to properly identify the issue. The technician replaced the sway bar and some spacers. The problem went away for a day and now my car is back in the dealership today for the same issue.
Update from May 26, 2016: Trip number two ended in the whole front suspension being taken apart and then reassembled with the right strut being replaced. The suspension mechanic told me this is the first Dodge Charger with this issue. The noise went away again for about 3-4 days. The car was at the dealership for 8 days.
Please note I bought this car with around 3000 miles on it because it was a managers special. The rebates and discounts were too good to pass up. Now I'm wondering what happened during its first 3000 miles before I got a hold of it. The car is back in the dealership again for the third time. Another update will ensue.
