Not a big deal, just sounds weird. When turning there is a whiny sound.

Charger SXT Plus 3.6L V6 Pentastar

Power steering sounded awful. Dealership definitely agreed and replaced it. New pump was temporarily better. Then worse. Took it back, was wanting it replaced a second time. Figured maybe I got a faulty one: so the dealership scratching there heads called Chrysler Tech Department. They advised the dealership that the sound was "normal" and not to replace it a second time. I have since called Chrysler myself and was told the same thing. I really find it hard to believe that this is "normal".

I've had 1970's FORD's that didn't sound this bad! Took it to a different dealership to be checked out again, as it was still bothering me. AGAIN: apparently normal. I find it hard to fathom they sold any of these cars if this is what it's supposed to function like. Because it doesn't matter if it's warm or cold, it sounds loud/whiney 24/7 365. Would love it if Chrysler would be willing to replace with 100% electric or 100% fluid operated style pump. This set up has electric over fluid pump, it's both. Not a fan so far!! But "apparently" it's good for fuel consumption.
