I purchased a 2012 Dodge Charger shortly after tha it just stopped working. It was perfectly fine and then it just wouldn't start. It only turned on to accessory mode. The lights, radio, ac, ect. turned on but the vehicle did no. The brake pedal was very hard couldn't be pushed down. On the dashboard a red lightning bolt symbol with two parentheses appeared. I got it towed the dealership send the problem was the battery and the key fob. I picked it up it was fine and then a few days later while driving on the highway it suddenly started to lose power and completely stopped. same red lightning bolt symbol appeared.I barely made it to the side of the road. I had my son with me. It was a very scary situation our lives were in danger as well as the other drivers behind me because of the sudden decrease in speed. I had to get it towed for the second time. The dealership said that they changed the fuel pump. It was fine after that then couple weeks later I noticed the check engine light come on for about half a day then turn off. 2 Days later I went to turn it on and it did not start, same red lightning bolt symbol appeared again. I got it towed to the manufacture dealership for a recall and they did diagnostic and are telling me that it is the starter switch. They didn't mention anything about the red lightning bolt and it still doesn't turn

Was putting gasoline in my 2012 Dodge Charger and it would only take a small amount of fuel before spitting it back out at you which is very dangerous. There is a recall for this but not for the 2012 model Charger SXT 3.6 liter. The dealer is charging me over $1,700 dollars to fix and the 2006 through 2011 have this issue. We had this same exact issue with our 2005 Dodge durango and it was recalled and fixed twice. It started doing it at around the same mileage as we now have on the Charger. It is dangerous for fuel to be spit out on you as you attempt to fuel the vehicle.

No matter where we are, whether stationary, or in motion, the vehicle has an overwhelming smell of gasoline after we have fueled up the car. Today, we noticed gasoline leaking from the rear passenger side undercarriage. A quick search online indicates innumerable similar complaints, with Chrysler failing to offer a remedy to this situation.

I was driving my 2012 Charger SXT, and the car suddenly went into battery saver mode. I had pulled over to google it on my phone, and my car was starting to display the symptoms in the P60 recall. The battery light came on, the traction control, ABS, check engine lights, they all came on. Then as I was pulling into a parking space at Dodge the center screen shut off, I lost power steering, the car shut itself off. Somehow the windshield wipers ran a few cycles. The dealership informed me that my car had a 180 amps alternator, that it was not part of the P60. My car had just reached 119000km (74000mi), and the average mileage of Chargers with 180 amps alternators appears to be around 106000km (66000mi). The road that I was on, it followed the a winding cliff. If the problem had been more severe I would certainly have died, either gone into the rock face, off the cliff, or into oncoming traffic. The replacement alternator was over $800 cnd, that's before the inspection, before labor, and if the battery fried in this ordeal, it doesn't include that either. It doesn't cover the rental car I had to get. Obviously, Chrysler-Dodge-Fiat had to do a massive recall with one alternator, is it really a stretch to think that the other alternator that they installed in other vehicles were defective as well" I looked up the cost of a replacement online according to official Dodge specifications for the Chrysler 300 / Charger - they're listed at about $200-250 cnd, why is the one Dodge selling me over $800? is it because they realized they have to put in something of much higher quality and output so that this doesn't happen again" there had better be a recall about this - people will get severely hurt because of this.

Fuel smell enters the cabin causing light headed ness where operator or occupants almost pass out. Massive headache, burning eyes and sudden onset vomiting due to exposure to raw fuel odors. Has been to dealership 3 times for the issue and they deny it. Currently there a 4th time for same issue. I feel this is a major safety issue and without addressing will put the public at risk. This is a police car.

Vehicle has strong odor of gasoline in car. Source of gasoline smell is coming from rear seat drivers side, which is nearest to the fuel filler pipe. This may cause fire and or explosion causing death and property damage. And or other health issues.
