When driving normally on highway, as soon as car shifts into 4th gear the engine gets noticeably deeper, and I have to depress the gas pedal to keep at the same speed, only once has my vehicle tried to correct this by downshifting, it downshifted into 2nd gear, and by the time I got the vehicle under control I was doing well over 100mph with my fiance and son in my vehicle.
My dealership told me I was not driving fast enough and the 4 speed tranny has a factory defect. I tested this, hit 4th gear at 100 mph, lost power and engine sound got deep. They said there's no fix to this problem, last car had the SE problem, SE gear, but was a 6 speed Ford, was told torque converter was bad. RECOMMEND TEARING TRANSMISSION AND DRIVETRAIN APART TO FIND THE SOLUTION! Don't always rely on those fancy computers!
