Why hasn't this issue been investigated beyond the VIN specific Customer Satisfaction Notification Bulletin put in 2011? With all of us having the same problems there is obviously an issue with the cars. This is ridiculous. I was told that my car has a sales code NMC therefore doesn't fall under this notification. The service manager at the dealership even tried telling them my car should be included under the recall and they still wont budge. Its a total nightmare what they have put me through with their poor customer service. One thing they should be aware of, I'm not stopping with this until it's a recall and we all get our cars fixed or reimbursed for money paid out of pocket for their screw up.

Was pulling into a parking spot at DFW airport, thank go I wasn't on the highway still. Heard a big bang sound and a wobble, steam coming out from under hood. I shut engine off very quickly after hearing this, I knew it wasn't good. Coolant leaking all over. Towed vehicle to Dealership where I bought the car used. I had gotten extended warranty, so they are covering it. But after hearing in some places that this was a recall on some VIN numbers but not others, I found that a little disturbing. If it's a known problem, then Dodge should do something about it. If I was in Dallas traffic going 70 mph when this happened somebody could have been killed. Everything turned out ok for me, but t=what about the next person. One of the mechanics where I took my car said his wife has a Chrysler 300 (which is basically a charger) that has done this twice already...bad design.. They should recall and replace all these. I probably will not be buying another dodge after seeing how they handle things.

AFTER LOCAL DEALER ADDRESSED DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG RECALL, WIFE WAS HEADED HOME AND HEARD LOUD NOISE UNDER HOOD AND CAR STARTED RUNNING HOT. I PICKED CAR UP ON A FLATBED TRAILER, AND CARRIED IT TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP NEAR MY HOME. HAD TO HAVE RADIATOR AND FAN ASSEMBLY REPLACED, FOR $699.95, CALLED LOCAL DEALER THAT HAS DONE ALL MY SERVICE AND OIL CHANGES SINCE CAR WAS NEW AND WAS TOLD REPAIRS ARE MY RESPONSIBILITY EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN (318677) ADDRESSING THIS PROBLEM ###@#@ NOT HAPPY WITH CHRYSLER CORP.

I heard big noise while driving, I saw a smoke coming out from the hood. I stopped the car to see what happen, found out that the fan blade disintegrated and damage radiator. I towed it to my mechanic and he replaced the radiator and the fan, it cost $500. Then he went to start the car, did not start, he found out that the engine is gone. Would please let someone contact me, I had it for only one month, I bought the car used, had 51,000 was running great in June 2015.

Would please someone from Dodge Corp. to contact on the page, since this problem happen before with another 2007 Dodge Charger owner in TX.

On Sunday, July 27, 2014 I was parked in a Walgreen’s parking lot in Granbury, Tx. The engine was running and the A/C was on. I heard a sound that sounded like someone had run into our car and felt a jolt. There was no car nearby. When I got out of the car there was coolant running out from under the front.

The temp gauge was in center position and there was no steam coming from under the hood. I shut the car off and inspected for damages. Could not locate the problem. I turned the car on and backed up to parking spot away from building and attempted to contact my mechanic.

On Monday, my mechanic inspected the car and could not find damage to hoses. He stated it was probably the radiator or hopefully just the drain plug had come out but that was probably wishful thinking.

I contacted my roadside service with USAA and had the car towed to my mechanic’s work place. After further inspection he stated that the “radiator fan had disintegrated and gone through the radiator” .

Since there was no reason for something like this to occur we began to search for recalls for this particular situation. There were many people who have experienced this problem but no recalls.

I called Chrysler and they said there were no recalls on my particular vin # 1GBFG15R2T1034608. Both reps I spoke with stated this was something they never heard of happening and since there was no recall Chrysler would not be responsible.

Upon further searching I found this info on line. I contacted Bruce (Service Manager at Mike Brown Dodge in Granbury Tx). He stated that there was this bulletin issued in 2011. He stated if the car was under warranty it would be covered but if not it would be not be a covered repair.

It seems to me that: 1. This is a manufacturing defect or a parts defect and Chrysler should be responsible. 2. It is not uncommon and happens often on Dodge Magnum, Chargers and 300’s in the 2006 to 2008 years 3. Dodge should take responsibility for this repair regardless of the car being in or out of warranty.

I am grateful that I was parked when this occurred and was in my hometown. I intend to send this info to Chrysler and NHTSA and any other entity that can help make this defect known and repairable. If a class action is necessary I will do that. If anyone else has experienced this problem I think we can find action based on number of people who press Chrysler to be responsible.
