My ESP/BAS light kept going on. The Dodge dealer in Florida said I needed a new clock spring and replaced it. The problem continued. Also the new part seemed loose. I came up to NY and brought it to my Dodge dealer. They replace the clock spring again under part warranty. The ESP/BAS light kept coming on. Brought it in again and now they are telling me the Steering column protrudes too far and needs to be replaced. THIS DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE. How do I know the new one will not protrude as well. Why would it protrude? Did it grow. Just got off the phone with Dodge, they said they were sorry nothing they can do. Makes no sense. Seems like the steering column should get adjusted or something. Anybody have any thoughts on this problem? Their solution defies logic.
