Alright, I realize the car has a lot of miles on it, but if it weren't the fact that Dodge/Chrysler won't fess up to all the other DEFECTS, I wouldn't be here complaining about yet another issue. People need to know all the ugly details and negative reports from these companies so they can make an educated decision when choosing their next vehicle.
So I live in the high desert area of Southern California, and the temp was over 105 *F, and my daughter's boss needed a ride to handle some business because he was not able to drive. I'm not kidding, this was the day my A/C decided to stop working. So we had to drive around town in the blistering heat with the windows down. To make my day worse, I had to sit out in the heat to wait for him to handle his business. Since it was so late in the summer, I decided to wait until this summer to get it fixed...why? because I had other, more important issues to fix on my car, like the "shift interlock latch" that broke to my shifter, and had to do like so many other Dodge/Chrysler Car owners, and get my car unstuck out of park by using a screw driver every time I needed to drive my car...AND the electrical problems with my headlights randomly turning off and staying off or blinking like Christmas lights...which is a possible reason why a whole lot of Dodge & Chrysler vehicles caught on fire and burned to the ground.
Anyway, I had to use my e-brake instead of park when I parked my car. I've been doing this for two years now because I don't trust my dealership not to rip me off which is a habit of theirs. The e-brake did not hold and my car rolled down a mild slope and damaged the right front end. While it was at the repair shop, I was called and asked if my A/C was already broke. I said yes and they said that they would recharge it to see if that is the problem...sadly, they said that it did not help and cannot be sure what the problem is.
It blows strong, but it is blowing hot air and I hear a sort of deep hissing sound the whole time its on.
I would love to get it fixed, but like I said, I have other issues to fix first.
