For crying out loud, don't get into the business of making cars if you can't make a car that has all the parts working properly!! We have a 2013 Dodge Challenger and the alternator went out on the freeway!!! Yes the freeway people. A practically brand new car with parts that came from a toy store. This is ridiculous. Save yourself the headache and get yourself a car from a company that has parts that actually work. With all these recalls the alternator and electrical I'm thinking I would be safer taking the bus.

In Dec. 2014 we received a recall notice (P60/NHTSA/14V-634), advising me that the alternator was the subject of this recall. We were further advised that the defective alternator could result in the catastrophic failure of any or all of the vehicles electrically controlled operating and or safety systems i.e. vehicle might suddenly shut down, braking failure might occur, or vehicle might catch fire. We do not feel safe driving this car!! We have communicated repeatedly with both the dealership and ChryslerGroup, customer relations, to no avail!

Chrysler states that it has no solution for the problem, and no idea as to when a solution will be forth coming. They have suggested that we could have the vehicle repaired somewhere other than a certified Chrysler service center but they stated that doing so might invalidate our warranty. Our Chrysler dealership has also insisted that they cannot provide us with alternate transportation while we wait an undetermined period of time for the new part to be provided and repairs made. Today the dealer informed me that he has no idea when the repairs will be made, suggesting that it could take another 6 weeks or 6 months.

We bought the car in good faith. We need to have 2 cars!! Do we have any legal recourse!??! Must we seek the assistance of an attorney?
