The drivers smart window would drop 1/4 inches when opening the door, but would not go back up when closing the door. I tried all of the re-initializing procedures on the internet, but none of them worked.
I applied some rubber/vinyl dressing (Griot's) to a rag and wiped the rubber window tracks at the door window opening, and on the sealing rubber at the car roof where the window seals on top. I wiped the rubber, inside and outside, and the problem was fixed. Try not to get that stuff on the paint, I don't know what is in it, but if it is silicone, you definitely don't want it on the paint. My son (Master Auto Tech) said that the problem is usually caused by the dry rubber increasing the window motor current, causing the sensor to misbehave.
