The electrical system has never been right with this vehicle. The marquee would indicate a tire pressure problem that needed to be checked, but that wasn't accurate. The Dodge dealer didn't recommend a fix so we just lived with it. Since Sept. of this year, the electrical system in the dash acts like the vehicle is possessed - flickering lights that randomly work and don't work (gauge lights, etc.). Then the car developed random starting problems and ended up not working one night, only to work the next morning.
We took it in for repair (Dodge dealer) and it was explained that the battery had leaked and corroded the wiring harness. No idea why the battery leaked as the car has been regularly maintained. Given the Ghost in the Machine we always experienced, and now reading a variety of electrical problems other 2006 Dodge Caravan owners have experienced, I have to wonder. Now I'm looking at totaling the car because it's not worth the expense of replacing the wiring harness, or so I think. Any ideas?
