My driver side window would not lower (3 different times), sliding doors would not open, hatch opened and close by itself, passenger sliding door locked open (local body shop was able to close door for me), all other work was performed by Dodge Dealer, March 2013, April 2014, and will take back for same problem tomorrow, May 13, 2014

Caravan SXT 3.3lV6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 7,000 miles

I reported this to dealer, they claimed it could be one of various things, none covered by warranties. Power window motor, alone could run in the hundreds. Then was told it was only the switch for that window, replaced it. It did not work. Then was told by a fellow Caravan owner that if I removed a certain fuse, and replaced it, windows would function. True to word, this worked for quite awhile. However, even replacing fuse with a new one, it did not work anymore. Recently it began working again, but only for a few days.

I've written to Dodge-Chrysler and they claim they've never heard this complaint, yet I found many on the internet. There are other electrical failures, that I associate to their computer/electrical system. Seat position motor, DVD Player, Door Locks.

The doors window will work if pulled, pushed, or the door is slammed. Sometimes cycleing the switch back and forth will do it. Has anyone else seen this and what have you done about it?

IF WINDOW IS ALL THE WAY DOWN, SOMETIMES IT WILL GO UP AND SOMETIMES IT WILL TRY TO GO UP AND SOMETIMES IT WON'T DO ANYTHING AND YOU DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD A WAYS AND IT WILL START TO GO UP. IF YOU KEEP PLAYING WITH IT YOU CAN FINALLY GET IT TO GO UP.
