This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I purchased a 2005 Dodge Caravan 3 weeks ago. On the forth day that I purchased it (I had driven it about 50 miles), the power steering went completely out. This made it very difficult and unsafe to drive, although we did make it home. I was a horrible leak and it sprayed the entire inside of the engine compartment. (we were lucky that there was not a fire) it was towed to the dealership and I was told that a clamp had been improperly attached at the factory and was re-adjusted. I am concerned that this may be related to the current recall of the V-6 models (our Caravan is a four cylinder).
