I brought my car to the dealer who again told me that there was no recall for my vehicle but that I could pay for the fix which should be about $300.00+ dollars.

Other years of the same vehicle have been recalled because of this same situation because it is a safety issue.

I went home and called Chrysler who told me that if it is the sensor then the warranty has been extended for this vehicle until 999,999 miles. So bring your vehicle back to the dealer and tell them about the code x16 and your repair should be free. Make sure you tell them that you got this information from Chrysler and that you do not want to pay for the diagnostic check since it shoulBACK ad be a factory issue.

I am BACK at the dealer now and hopefully this issue has been fixed. Ill update when possible.

I have had soooo many problems with my 2005 Dodge Caravan, for my business I do a lot of driving so I do have high miles, however I do take care of my vehicle, with routine maintenance. I currently have 71,000 on it and I have had to replace my airbag sensors, or they would have deployed. I have replaced my EGR valve, crank sensor, brakes, rotors, shocks, and another piece which was replaced at 34,000 for a clunking sound. Now, I have to replace my fuel injection pump, oxygen sensor which the repairs to this vehicle are becoming far too expensive! Can we say LEMON?? If you are looking for a reliable vehicle do NOT purchase a Dodge Caravan, by NO means is it reliable! If there is anyone whom can help me with this lemon, please contact me! Thank you!

Also, none of the dealer ships were willing to help out with the problems once the vehicle reached the 30,000 miles marker. DO NOT BUY A DODGE OR CHRYSLER PRODUCT there is NO reliability!!!

Caravan SE 3.6

I originally called at approx 36000 miles they said it should go out. It did then came back on by time I got a appointment the car had 44903 miles on it.

They say it is an electrical problem. The airbag light is staying on. This is what the dealership said. replacement of both front airbag impact sensors and sub wiring harnesses need to be repaired/replaced. I had to pay $94 to find problem and it will cost over $350 to fix problems.

This issue is very upsetting to me. I had a 2004 dodge caravan and if it were not for the airbags I would not be here. I had 10,000 miles and driving on a highway going 62 mph I hit a black angus cow.

I never had so many problems with a car as this 2005. Buying brand new is not always the best way to go and surely enough dodge will not be on my list of cars to buy again. This one did it for me. I used to think and buy only dodge.
