Upon reading information about the past failures of the gen 3 seat belt I went to my 2000 Dodge Caravan sport and sat in the seat put the seat belt on and dropped a light shoe on the seat buckle. I immediately snapped open, and I was stunned. This is my second Caravan and I had always thought that it was a safe vehicle to Transport my self, my husband and my 4 children in. I now feel very differently.
I am outraged at daimler Chrysler gen-3 seatbelts! it is ridiculous not to recall these seatbelts that can be unlatched so easy. At any one point I have 5 children in my vehicle, 2-3 in child car-seats and now I don't even want to drive it anymore!! I haven't had any incidences of this, but now that I know it can happen, I am scared for my childrens lives! please consider all of the evidence in the situation regarding these useless seat belts and make an honorable judgement.
