Copied this from another poster for time constraints. "Dodge Grand Caravan Vehicles SUCK ASS!!! I haven't had this friggin' van for one year yet and already has costed me well over $600.00 to fix!! First it was the radiator, then the water pump, the seals around the fuel system, my wipers don't work (only when they want to) and the driver side tail light doesn't work (no, it's not the bulb) Oil is leaking now from the motor and Now the piece of sh*t Transmission is going out! I got stuck having to drive 20 miles in 2nd. gear on a highway!!!!!To make matters worse, I take it to a mechanic and it's gonna cost well over a thousand bucks to fix!What kinda sh*t is that? It's not like I drive a million miles a day, I only go about 50 miles a day and the van sits in the drive way damned near all day except for 2 hours.

I don't know you and you don't know me. The problems I have with this vehicle are my own. From one person to another I say to you, "avoid buying this type of vehicle at all costs! A family has alot on it's plate as it is and this vehicle will just destroy you financially!!" I'm saying that lightly, I was almost killed because of the Transmission failing on me on the highway. Had I known then what I know now, believe me I'd have bought a better vehicle. NOw it sits in the driveway as a reminder of how 27 hundred bucks went down the drain. I think I'll turn it into a damn flower pot or something!"

Literally word for word. Most recently replaced the power booster on the brakes. AFter repair attempt to use wipers futile, use of horn results in loud humming noise and no horn and then touching the headlight switch dims the lights and shorts out the wipers. Fuel injectors leak, fuel line leak, and now i leave the mechanical after 3 or 4 TRM failures and make it 30 miles then check engine light comes on and back to the mechanic. No wipers, no horn, dim headlights and can only drive 50 MPH as long as no one breaks for anything otherwise it stalls

I bought my van last year as a second car to drive the kids around in to little league and etc. Within the first month I had oil leaking from the engine and fixed that. A couple f months later while driving with my kids reverse gave out. The other gears shift ok but I am told I will need a new transmission. Apparently this isnt something unique to my van since the transmission had been fixed once before on this van and I figured it would last awhile. I was wrong. Doing research I see Dodge has many problems with this Caravan brand van. Many people seem to have transmission issues. I wish I had known. I would have kept my money and/our bought diff type of car. I don't plan to fix the van. I paid 2200 for it and its going to cost 2100 to fix. Im done with Dodge.
