I recently learned about your web site service and decided to use it. Because I have experienced too many problems (various in addition to this list) over the past years with this vehicle.
I feel this vehicle should have a recall on some of the problems it has. They are defenitely a major factor in safety. I hope these problems are fixed in the newer modles because most people purchase mini-vans for their family or company vehicle. Therefore, this particular vehicle I feel could probably fall under the lemon law. Or, manufactors are just making a big profit and are not considering the safety of their drivers. I would like to see them put their family in a vehicle with the problems mine has and quarantee their safety.
While driving at any speed or sitting at stop the van just quits. Sometimes engine checklight will come on. The oxgyen sensor was replaced by dealership. Owner kept experiencing the same problem. On Nov 3, 1999, the van was taken to the dealership for the same problem. Dealer could not find what caused the problem.
At present we are without a car for 8 days this time. The car has been into the shop 9 times for the same problem. This time because we are in arbitration the dealership says that Chrysler wants them to try a few more things. They are not telling us what is wrong with the car but say that the are trying what the technicians are telling them to do. Last week we were told that a technician was going to come down and look at the van. On Friday we went to the dealership and were told that they were going to do this over the phone and that we could absolutely not have the car. They have our car and we are paying $50 a day
The van was taken on serveral occasions to be repaired and still has not been repaired. The dealer was contacted and would not help us get the matter resolved. We would like to know if the van was wrecked before our purchase.
The serpentine belt pully has broken twice, resulting in vehicle being towed twice, there is a constant thud from the gas tank when accelerating, stopped drains from the "ac" are a continous problem, car stutters at turnpike speeds as well as normal city driving, car has been in the shop 22 times in 27 months, tried to get information concerning "lemon law" but was asked to "give us the chance to make it right".have had a niagra falls from under the dash twice since they "fixed the problem" car vibrates at turnpike speeds. Door locks break/foul smell when the "ac" comes on, engine service lights come on for no reason, the van was leased, and to get out of the lease would involve several thousand dollars. I would take my 7 year old Bonneville on trip before I would take my 2 year old van. What can be done about this?
Engine check light comes and the truck will stop in the middle of the road and will only be going 50-55mph. A couple of days later, the dealer said that is okay, and they cannot fix the problem. The enginecheck L ight stopped again, a day later after the owner had $339 of service done.
