This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Consumer states that the clockspring in gear box went out causing the air bag light to stay alluminated. Horn goes out\and cruise control does not engage.
Clockspring "broke" airbag light came on and horn/cruise control would not work. Replaced, but same symptoms are happening again. Transmission failed and was replaced. I found this has happened in so many minivans made by Chrysler.
The air bag warning light will go out shorthly after engine starts. But then will come on at various times while driving to indicate that there is an air bag failure. I don't know if there is a failure in the air bag system of if there is a failure in the air bag warning light only. Will the air bag work if the light is out as one would expect and not work if the light is on which one would also expect. The indicator light will come on then after a bit go out. Please advise.
I have taken the vehicle to three different dealers with complaints about the front end, the rubbing & clunking noise when making turns, the steering wheel shimmy and transmission problems (ie. Applying brake and trans not backing down, vehicle lurches).
