More than a dozen times this van will not start. Dealership cannot locate problem, and usually it occurs from cold start, but has also occurred over 5 times while driving and this is not safe. Also lost transmission sensor and that killed car while driving but has been replaced. Chrysler is not helping and I am nervous driving my kids in this van. Had it 2 years and have been stranded more than a dozen times. Noticed others with similar unsafe situations and hope Chrysler will address them soon.
Wire harness in engine compartment had an electrical short, resulting in a fire on driver side of compartment. Fire was put out by fire department. Dealer has not been ocntacted at this time.
Consumer was traveling 60mph on highway. A motorist was hunking horn to get consumer's attention. When looking though the rearview mirrior he saw black smoke coming from underneath vehicle. Consumer had to pull over on the shoulders of the road, and he/ his family jumped out of vehicle. When opening the hood flames came bursting out. Vehicle burned to a crisp, and was totaled.
The vehicle had been parked for over 8 hours, when fire ignited under hood (determined upon, investigation) at wire harness, car became totally involed in fire, complete loss of vehicle.

A fire started in the A/C vent by the steering wheel, from which flames came out and engulfed the car. Also, driver's airbag deployed. Vehicle shut off. Vehicle has previously been serviced for transmission problems.
