I just bought this car a month and half ago. The first month under warranty, I had to have the brakes and rotors replaced, the fuel gauge reset. Once all that had been taken care of, the car would just randomly stop acceleration. Most times I could pull over, stop the car, and restart....the second to last time it took about 20 min, on a very hot day to get it going again. I was not in a convenient spot when I stopped, getting a lot of honks and beeps, and fingers.....
The last time this happened I had to stop in my lane, as there was no side of the road to pull off on, put the car in park, and after that it was locked in park, I could not get it in neutral, could not start the car. I had to call someone to come and get me, while the dealership had to come pick up the car. I was told that I needed a TIPM module, and it would cost around $900 to repair.
I just got this car a month and half ago, and have only made one payment on the car thus far..........I did not realize that buying a new car would entail paying out money for repairs.....after reading online, there is a huge TIPM problem with Dodge. Something needs to be done a recall to avoid the time and cost to repair this. As for me, not a very good buying experience.
