A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

My 2 dates of documentation on this issue. The company needs to Recall this issue, too many not to recall. DECEMBER 2, 2020 sent to Kelly Blue Book ONLINE under Margee about bad lights. 🚙🚙🚙 I am NOT happy due to the problems I have had with this Dodge Caliber 2010. I purchased in 2011 using my retirement money to have my car. I just finished paying it off. First there was a recall on airbags, then no recall but history of air conditioning, heater overheating and smoking while driving on freeway at 60 mph, the company paid to fix it. NOW, ALL MY HEADLIGHTS & TURN SIGNALS & TAIL LIGHT ARE OUT. I replaced both turn signals about 3 weeks prior to this NEW issue. I was told by a mechanic it would be over $1000 for the part (computer fuse box) PLUS LABOR. It would be a few thousand dollars to fix it. Per KBB it’s not worth much more then that. I had heard something before about light problems, but never got ANY recall notice or information on it. I looked for a “recall on lights” there is none. The company claims this is NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. However, where we travel & live it is COMPLETELY DARK at night, no lights anywhere. And in the daytime we are REQUIRED BY LAW to DRIVE WITH OUR HEADLIGHTS ON, A SAFETY ISSUE. How and where can I find out how to get my vehicle fixed by Dodge who KNEW that there was a problem. Will only be happy when corporate fixes my 2010 Dodge Caliber, STX electrically system. 🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙 🔺Correction on today’s date, it’s 12/7/2020 NOT 11/7/2020🔻 FIND THIS UNDER COMPLAINTS IN DODGE CALIBER 2010 I’m having the headlight and taillight, blinker, brake light issues too here in Washington State. Today 🔺12/7/2020, I’m told by Chrysler to take to dealer and get a diagnosis. The the dealer Hazelwood in Bremerton should share with corporate and they will decide if it “qualify” on their dime, for repairs... I’m shock to see so many early complaints and STILL no recalls. IVE BEEN TOLD ITS GOING TO BE EXPENSIVE, LIKE $1500 PARTS AND WHATEVER THE LABOR IS. The 2010 Dodge Caliber is NOT good for value due to this situation. So the value of my car is around $2500 - $3500. I’m so disappointed. We live in a state where the law requires headlight on during the day as well as night. We don’t have any public transportation either. No Uber, Lyft, bus services. And yes, this is starting to stall too, it’s happened twice. I also had MAJOR problem with heater/air conditioning smoking. I was on freeway doing 60mph when I noticed the unit above my radio start smoking. I was lucky to be able to pull over and shut it off and sit until it cooled. No recall on this either. Yet MANY COMPLAINTS. Why is this Chrysler company NOT BEING HELD RESPONSIBLE for these repairs? Something is wrong here, especially since they only produce this car for a few years. I have to pay for a diagnostic too. It’s their product, why are we paying? If anyone knows where we can get help to pay to get this fixed please let us all know. If there are any lawsuits or class action law suites against the company I’m interested in joining as well.

Caliber 2.0L 4 cyl

  • Manual transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Bought this car with 35,000 miles on it. Between 45,000 - 50,000 miles I've had to replace the clutch, slave cylinder, ball joint, sway bar links, throttle body, and now the TIPM unit needs to be replaced. At this point, I'm better to just scrap the car and cut my losses.

Caliber 2.0L

  • 64,000 miles

If anyone knows about any potential settlement claim to help pay for this problem, please advise. I've searched and found several other TIPM issues with Dodge/Chrysler vehicles where settlements and help paying for the repairs were available. Most of those were related to Jeeps & Durangos, but not Caliber-specific. Thanks.
