This isn't the first time this happened, but it is the most recent. I put the car in park, turned the car off, took the key out of the ignition and set them in the "dash pocket" because the car was being locked in its garage and if I take the keys in the house, they find a way of hiding before morning. I closed the car door and heard the electronic locks engage. Maddening, because I leave the one spare key in my office so that I can get home if this happens at work. I did not press the car lock button after removing the key, and opened the door after the key was layin in the "pocket." Something seems to be wrong with the switch, but the mechanics have said it is working fine.
