CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2007 Dodge Caliber has all kinds of suspension problems at relatively low mileage: typically 40-50,000 miles.
The most commonly reported problems are with ball joints & control arms going bad. Tie rods & leaking struts are also reported failing in the same mileage range.
Unfortunately all the suspension problems means some owners only find out after they notice their tires are ruined.
We've given the 2007 Caliber our worst rating because these problems happen at such low mileage, & it involves a wide range of apparently defective parts. With most other cars, major suspension work is pretty rare under 50,000 miles.
I am not done I several more complaints over the next two years. Not only do I consider this Caliber a piece of sh*t but I feel that the maintenance I have received is unprofessional and incompetent.
Drove my car home and parked it. 10 min. later my wife went to use my car and it would not start. Reset my door locks and tried it again. No luck. Pulled the fuel line off of the fuel rail and her try to start it, but no fuel came out. I think the key lost the programming. The dealer said it might be the key, but he is also saying it could be the fuel pump.
This is my 2nd dodge in my life. I like to try to buy American but am never going to buy another American car again. No wonder they were going bankrupt - ass clowns
so I go to start my car and it won't start. It'll turn over and do everything but begin running. I don't know what caused this or how expensive a fuel issue is but that's what I'm dealing with. I've never used any other fuel but the recommended unleaded. I know I needed a tune up but, all my shocks and battery and fluids and everything else was good so it seems like just outta the blue this fuel thingy decides to up and stop working! The nerve!
