The vehicle had a recall on the catalytic converter. I thought that was the problem, had it replaced, and the vehicle continues to cut out while driving, very dangerous.

This is just a continued problem I have had with all my Dodge Avengers. Someone could have got really hurt here. And unfortunately it was not the first time nor the last time. Someone needs to help with this danger that has already cause so much trauma. Be very careful in buying a Dodge Avenger my years are 3- 2012's and 1- 2014. You and your family don't need this car with it's problems and dangers!

Issues over the years since purchasing include: dummy lights flashing on/off at their pleasure, clock always being off time and having to be reset every couple of days, random accelerations not provoked by driving or incline while on cruise and off, and on 6/1/17 my car completely shut off while driving 70mph down the highway on my way to work. I've contacted Corporate, the dealership, NHTSA. As of today, 6.13.17, no problems have occurred under dealership supervision and no codes have been logged so it's as if my issues have never happened. I brought another friend's experience into the picture and was told that they work on a case by case basis and that even if the symptoms are similar they cannot be sure it's a similar issue. My friend bought her 2014 Avenger at the same dealership 2 days after we purchased ours and her problems began immediately.

I've spoken with Chrysler/Dodge social media, case managers, the dealership, and even an individual at the Executive Level at Chrysler and what I have learned is that if the problem cannot be recreated, there is "no issue to fix." I have a list of names of individuals who have experienced the same issue without resolve from Chrysler, and the list grows daily.

I hope it doesn't take a death for this situation to be seen as important to remedy.

For now, I have been provided a rental from Chrysler based on a recall for my car that has yet to launch and one where there are no parts available to fix. As of this time, there is no end in sight for this matter for me.

My 2014 Dodge Avenger has a faulty TIPM and as a result lost all electrical power while driving on a highway at night; power steering, lights, and all. Now it has caused my windshield wipers to stop working. This is a safety related outrage. Chrysler has known about their faulty TIPM's for years and thousands of car owners have been dangerously affected. They've even tried to ignore, deny, and cover it up. Chrysler and Dodge refuse to recall this issue or even acknowledge it. I will never buy another Chrysler vehicle again. They are dishonest and have failed the American consumer.

My 2014 Dodge Avenger has a faulty TIPM. It has caused my car to lose all power while driving on a highway at night; which meant losing power steering, lights, and stalling. It happened once while I was turning in the middle of a busy intersection from Murfreesboro Rd (Hwy 41 South) onto Dick Buchanan Rd in La Vergne TN. Chrysler has known about their faulty TIPM's for years and it has dangerously affected thousands of car owners. Chrysler has tried to ignore, deny, even cover up this issue; with no recall! They've even been sued over it and it looks like they're about to be sued a second time over it. Now it as caused my windshield wipers to stop working! This is a safety hazard! This is unacceptable and Chrysler and Dodge have misled and mishandled this situation from the start with no sense of integrity or trustworthiness. I'm ashamed of the Chrysler name and their brands (Dodge, Jeep, Ram, etc) because of the way they've handled this.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. SOMETHING IS OBVIOUSLY WRONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL IN THE CAR. COMPUTER GLITCH, BATTERY, STATER, ALTERNATOR!!! SOMETHING. TRANSITOWNE DEALERSHIP IN WILLIAMSVILLE NY WAS GOING TO REFUSE TO FIX OR EVEN LOOK AT THE CAR UNTIL I MENTIONED THE WORD ATTORNEY TO THEM!!!!! THIS IS UNREAL MY DAUGHTER AND I ALMOST GOT INTO A VERY BAD ACCIDENT MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN INTO A PARKING LOT WHEN THE CAR DECIDED TO SHUT ITSELF OFF.. I WILL NEVER BUY A DODGE/OR CHRYSLER PRODUCT EVER AGAIN AFTER WHAT THIS CAR AND MANUFACTURE HAS PUT ME THROUGH.

Update from Jun 11, 2015: No Fix for this issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since no codes are showing up nothing they can do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
