Shortly after the last repair job the car acquired a clicking noise. It turned out to be a solenoid under the engine cowl that is making a clicking noise when the car is shut off. I took it to one Dodge and he confirmed, yes it was a solenoid ... He said take it back to the other shop and they should know how to fix it. I took it back to the other shop but they gave me the run around and in the end they said it was vvt solenoid self cleaning . How can two Dodge shops say different things for the same problem.
I was told unless the car has an external power source after power off that it should not be making those solenoid noises once the car is completely turned off. My car does not have an external power source.
So now I have to use the other shop to try and have them fix what this first repair shop didn't fix. My 2013 Dodge Avenger sucks and this car is terrible. It has needed too many repairs for what started as a brand new car purchase.
