Avenger 4cly

The car drives great - you can be going down the road, and it shuts off, and it will crank right back up and drive brand new and it can happen a few minutes later or days later. You can be setting at a light or stop sign and it'll do this too... I've replace the fuel pump and camshaft sensor!!!

I don't know what in the world could be wrong with it! THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON OR ANY KIND OF LIGHTS AT ALL PERIOD AND NO CODES - NOTHING.

Avenger SE 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 115,000 miles

When we are driving, the car dies by itself, and won't start until about an hour or so. We have missed work because of this, and have spent sooo much on mechanics, and they just say it's other parts. And we are out 500.00 already with this issue.

I just pulled up to the red light by my office in my new Dodge Avenger and it stalled......4 times. I took it to the dealer and they kept it for 3 days didn't charge me anything or tell me what happened.

Avenger SE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 66,000 miles

I purchased my car July of 2016 at 55,000 one day in May my car wouldn't start, I thought it was the battery got a mechanic to check it and he said it was the engine. I called member services they told me to have it towed to nearest dealership and I did. after several weeks I was told it was the engine as told by previous mechanics. It was covered under warranty so dealership worked on it and returned it to me June 22rd on June 23 as I was driving to work the car turned off and I almost got into an accident.

I left the car parked on a road and called someone to come get me. I eventually had it towed to dealership they said it was again the engine. They worked on it and while in their possession the car apparently blew the engine for a 3rd time. they eventually called to get approval for a new engine and did. I finally got my car back on July 25th a month later.

on July 28th the check engine came back on and today July 31st I called dealership and FSA consumer for help. have not received call from dealership.

Worst part is the cars inspection is over due as it been in the dealership for about 2 months since May and I have only had it a total of 5 days in two months
