Takata recall. The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Avenger. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 3V282000 (electrical system, air bags) and 16V668000 (seat belts, air bags); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the issues. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Parts distribution disconnect.
There are two existing recalls on my vehicle for the fuel system and the electrical system. I have contacted mopar on 2 separate occasions and have been told my VIN number is not one of the cars affected. I do not believe this to be true and want something to be done.
Takata recall I am concerned driving this car as the parts to repair are not available. I have registered for notification of when parts are available, but need a vehicle to drive in the meantime. Who will provide a vehicle rental? there is now a warning light on.
I received a letter informing me about this safety recall in October 2016. As of yet there is no fix and this is my only vehicle for transportation as of now. This is unacceptable and taking too long for such a safety recall.

While driving the vehicle around 30mph the vehicle loss some power and dropped to 10-15mph. Drove to the side of the road and turned vehicle off to see if it would stop. Turned car on with no trouble then started driving then the problem occurred again.
Driving on interstate and car jerks and then shuts off ! cars swerve around to avoid hitting me. Thank god! I could start the car back up to get off the road all I could do was cry and pray that no one hit me in the back! that someone would help me to the side of the road! that I would see my children again! called the tow truck and sat in my because I was not prepared to play frogger with my life! googling a how to. Unfortunately, for me there was no option. What really, made me mad was that this was a known problem and others have had this situation! the manufacture has not addressed this faulty problem!
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Avenger. While driving approximately 45 mph, a burning odor emitted from the vehicle. The contact noticed that the driver's side power door lock was emitting smoke. While on the highway doing 75 mph, my 2013 Avenger immediately dropped to 40 mph. It felt like a car had re ended me, after dropping to 40, my car lost all power. My rpms went to 0, and I had no control while steering. It left me stranded for 45 minutes and suddenly turned back on. This has happened 3 times already. Also, before I had the dealership disconnect my horn, it would randomly blare. Sitting in traffic and it would go off. Sometimes it would beep once, other times it would last anywhere from 2-10 minutes. Turning the car off wouldn't solve the problem, it would actually continue. The mechanics told me it was my tipm (total integrated power module) that caused this to happen, only seen in Chrysler models. This problem has been ongoing starting with my horn since Sep. 23rd, 2016.

Clicking noise from behind the glove box when changing from heat T HVAC. Research points to a blend door which is a known problem to Chrysler. Also makes same noise when not running which could pose a fire hazard. Needs to be checked before it starts a fire and someone is hurt.. car can be stationary or moving see no recall but we need one this is unsafe.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the driver side head rest sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
