Purchased 2012 Dodge SXT plus at auction. Recharged A/C but lose cold air after 3 days. Evaluations by 2 mechanics, dye, pressure tests, shows no freon leaks. Heater core is leaking and possible evaporator issue, same as what's seen in other complaints for Avengers. Frustrating that the heater core leak is so common on Avengers, mechanics all state is manufacturing issue, but no recall on it. Expensive to replace and no guarantee that it won't go out again.

The passenger side blows cold air. Researching I see this is a huge problem with this vehicle. I live in Minnesota and in the winter months it is dangerous to drive as the windshield freezes and fogs up. Visibility is decreased and dangerous!!

My car is blowing cold air out of the passage side vents, then warm on the driver's side, when I run the ac, at idle or driving. The ac now only blows cool air out the passenger side, and warm out the driver's side. When I turn the control knobs, the fan will blow high on number 1. I believe there is an electrical issue as well, when I have on the headlights, and roll down the window, the lights dim, then return to regular brightness. There is a clicking noise for about 10 seconds in the passenger side dash for the first 10 seconds, when starting the car. My best guess is heater core or actuator issues. I know that there have been numerous complaints on these cars, please recall the 2012 Dodge Avenger SXT plus, to fix the issues at hand. Thank you

Heat only only on driver side. Passenger side has no heat and will not defrost in the winter time while standing or driving. Windshield will freeze up as you're driving. I have had this problem for a few years. Very unsafe!!!!!! will not recommend Dodge to anyone nor will I buy another Dodge if they do not fix this problem!

When I first week I brought the car the transmission was jerking, the driver side window wouldn't go all the way down. When I reported it to the car dealer ship they said that is was just because the car was a new car and it will go away. I'm still having the same problems I had the first day I purchase the car. I also called the dealership numerous times to get my recalls fixed. The dealer ship told me last August 2019 that they was ordering the parts for my recall and they never did.

When using the heater, driver side blows hot air and on the passenger side it's cold air. Makes it difficult for windows to defrost during winter, which makes it a hazard for this vehicle to be on the road safely.

While driving down the street, all of sudden my horn, starts going off, I took car to meineke shop, they told me the balance inside the steering wheel was broken, two of the 3 springs were broken. Ordered the part from Chrysler, they put the new part in, and two days later horn starts blowing again while driving. They are still trying to repair the problem. The active head rest broke and deployed without warning. The inside plastic that holds the retainer rod broke, causing the headrest to deploy. The car was parked overnight in a parking spot outside my home when this occurred.

Vehicle heating system fails to produce heat on passenger side. Proper operation of cooling system checked: Failed thermostat replaced, coolant flush performed, air bled from system proper coolant level checked. Heat is produced on drivers side, but still not on passenger side. Ventilation fans checked and are functioning and blowing air. Failed air blender motors replaced, all work properly again. Cabin air filter replaced. Car still only blows cold air on passenger side. Was informed that this is a known heater core issue. Vehicle has less than 90,000 miles

The problem that I am having with my 2012 Dodge Avenger is the car shuts down she your are driving no warning just shut down.I was told there were four recalls on the vehicle I took it to ralph sellers a Dodge dealership in gonzales, la. They supposedly fixed it I get off from work and car shut down three times, before I make it to my home..this vehicle is not safe and there should be a recall for this problem that this car is having.I do not know how long I can drive this car without someone plowing in the back of me and hurting me.

Passenger side air conditioning will not blow hot air. Driver side works perfectly fine. I've read everywhere that it's a manufacturer's defect with the heater core etc. This will be my last Chrysler product if not recalled and fixed for free.

The passenger side heat does not work. This just stopped one day around 110,000 miles. The dealership let me know that this was a manufactures defect with the heater core. The entire coolant system is being advised to be replaced. There is also a god awful ticking noise coming from behind the glove box when the heat is turned on. Dodge, I am very disappointed with reading all these reviews on the exact same issues, that you all are not stepping up as a company and correcting this issue. What is it going to take" someone wrecking a dying due to the unsafe conditions that you all knowingly put us into" I will never own another Dodge after this car. I will never recommend a Dodge to anyone either.
