I have a 2012 Avenger SXT 41,000 with issues with the rear lights, turn signal.
Symptoms:
Month ago: When used Right and left rear turn signal blink extremely fast - Information screen said replace bulb. They worked, but flashed really fast.
Last week: When right signal is engaged - Right rear has the same fast blink. When left signal is engaged, the left rear brake light stays on and there is no blinking and the right rear blinks super fast!
Took car to dealer - not a burnt out bulb issue at all, but a "Fried TIPM" and it will cost $1250 to replace!!
The TIPM SHOULD BE RECALLED!!!!. I already had the TIPM "reflashed" for over-stress of the resistor in the occupant control module (previous recall) and now the BS with the lights comes next!!!
I am unfortunately an owner of a 2011 Dodge Durango that has had recalls on the TIPM as well -- had to replace a alternator in that vehicle at 38 months - another $800!
Dodge/Chrysler is losing a loyal customer due to these crappy TIPM's in their vehicles!!!
