The headlights flicker and dim whenever I roll the windows up and the car seems to putter at the same time, the right side of the car doesn't blow heat when the car is set to blow heat it only blows cold air all the time, the traction control light came on a few weeks ago for no reason and won't go away after all maintenance repairs. This car has been in and out of the shop multiple times and several mechanics have told me their is no severe issues with this car. But all electrical problems keep happening and I've already had to replace the alternator and jump start the battery twice. I've come to the conclusion of just filing a complaint on this website.
Hello, the above mentioned vehicle, was at glendale Dodge Chrysler Jeep, in glendale, ca, for a total of seven full days. They were trying to find out why the (horn), continues to go off either, moving or standing still. They put in the following parts: (switch speed) for $50 (switch horn) for $127.60 (harness steer) for $158 plus the cost of diagnosis $195 after all of this I was finally told that the vehicle needs a (tipmcgw), which I was given an estimate of $1,900, plus labor. I was told this part is located under the fuse box, and controls all the functions in the vehicle. This does not seem to be a wear and tear part, especially where it is located, not sure why it would go out unless faulty. This is a recurring problem with the horn. It's a safety issue to have the horn connected, because it keeps going off. It's also a safety issue not having the horn connected, while driving. Can someone please help me this this issue the consumer stated the horn isn't working and consumer doesn't have an additional $1,900 to fix the problem.
The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Avenger. While operating the vehicle, the heater would not operate and the windows could not be defrosted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who flushed the heater core, but the failure continued. In addition, while driving various speeds, the vehicle shut off. During the failure, the electronic throttle and esp activation malfunction indicators illuminated. The failures were not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified. The failure mileage was 107,000.. consumer stated manufacturer was notified on the same day.
One day car cut off as soon as I got home and it never came on again got the alternator replace and battery charged up and it still will not start and the mechanic cant find the problem.
In April 2018 and again in November 2018 my car stalled, completely died while I was stopped at a traffic light on a hill. I had to put the car in neutral and restart the car. This was on a hill, heading to a highway entry.

Since 2016, my car has been out of heat on the passenger side and is now starting to lose heat on the driver side. I have had great up-keep on my car and get it fixed on a regular bases. During the winter my car is freezing cold. It is only letting heat out on the far left driver side vent and this is starting to blow cold air too. It takes forever to warm the inside of my car or never warms up at all. I'm unsure what the underlying problem is that I see is very common for this type of car. Being in the military I don't have thousands of dollars to get this fix. It is totally a manufactures defect and need to fixed immediately.

The vehicle was towed to jim cogdill Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (8544 kingston pike, knoxville, tn 37919) where it was initially diagnosed that the fuel pump failed and needed replacement. After replacing the fuel pump, the dealer stated that the totally integrated power module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 92,000.
The throttle body control light keeps coming on with the ABS light. Had it and the sensor cleaned. Two days later the same lights and the engine light are coming on.
Takata recall my car had been having this knocking sound, and then developed this sound like something was stretching inside the passenger side. The batter light cam on but the car was ok. The next day it came back on the air conditioning came on them went off all the other lights on the dash kept coming on and off. K stopped at an auto parts store to have them check it, and it would not start all the lights on the dash were on the fritz and reset. When driving on the road it would not let me go above 40 mph and the RPM went up to like 4.
I have a 2012 Avenger; the heat on the passenger side of the car stopped blowing hot air. I took the Avenger in for a diagnostic test and was told that the issue was from casing sand clogging the radiator, heater core and the oil cooler. This is a manufactures defect. Also the spring on the actuator door was sticking and not opening properly..poor contact materials on the connectors for the actuators!!. it seems that over time they oxidize and develop a resistance that attenuates the signal back to the control. When the signal gets too low the control loses track of the actuator position and keeps driving the motor, resulting in clicking or broken teeth. It is tough to reach the connector contacts to clean them- the clicking goes on even after the car is off!!!! please fix!
Takata recall" I have experienced problems with the alternator 3 times, this vehicle is a 2012 Dodge Avenger, the mileage that I started receiving problems were probaly 67,000 and 80,000. I have replaced the alternator 3 times, 2 times in the last 2 years. The problem started when the engine light alerted me there was a problem I then took the car to get it checked and they said that the charging system was not charging the alternator properly, then it resulted in battery issues draining the battery, if I turned my lights or wipers on or anything electrical the problem was worse. Then the car stalled on the interstate, from there I was towed to a car max. There they charged me for the labor on the alternator because I had an exttended warranty at the time of this particular failure. The next incident I had to get the battery replaced and it was the alternator again after I replaced the battery. Took the car to replace again another alternator failure. On my 2012 Dodge Avenger, I have had problems with my alternator and had to replace it 3 times, 2 times in the last 2 yrs. I have gotten it checked and the warning was detected that it was the charging system, and wiring system. The first time I experienced this, my engine light came on and the car stalled immediately with almost no warning except the light pops on deceleration and stalled on the interstate. The next time I experienced it was when I was driving home from work battery light then check engine light then the next day I needed a battery but I was told at the Dodge dealership that the code was for the charging system not charging properly my VIN number is not one of the vins that is a recall for my car, how is this possible when I am having the same problems time after time. I see where several customers have reported for the same problems with the same make and model. Why is this not a recall for my VIN as well. See also 11081253
My electrical stability light and air bag light come on daily now for 1 week while driving. My interior lights flicker and my check engine light is on but not registering. The recalls and my VIN is not listed
The drivers side window regulator is not working properly. Drivers side window will not go back up. Electrical problems random but always while in motion. Lights dim off and on. Tachometer has climbed to 70 miles per hour when only doing 40 miles per hour. Headlights brighten and dim. Safety gauges flash off and on. There is a recall for these problems with same make and model but not my VIN number. This car was purchased at enterprise in 2014. For some reason I am not receiving any recall notices. Could you please explain to me why my car is not included in these recalls. Thank you
While driving the car started accelerating by itself and the engine reed high. Wipers come on by themselves. Seat belt light stays on even when you have it on. Battery light comes on periodically.
I took my car to the Dodge dealership to be diagnose because of windshield wiper not working properly. When wipers are turn on they would randomly stop out of no where then take several seconds sometimes minutes before coming back on, the diagnostic came back internal short in tipm. I've noticed in many research online there has been many recalls and problem regarding tipm from Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler. Also I've had shortage in my power window not wanting to work but will eventually start again and air bag light is on all those could be related to the bad tipm. The first time I'd noticed the windshield wiper not working I was driving home from work on a raining night on the park way doing 65mph with a semi truck in front of me then out of no where the windshield wipers got stuck in the middle of the windshield I could not see because it was raining kind of hard so I had to drive 20mph with my emergency flashes on because I was less then a half of mile from my exit then I pulled over at the first store off the exit. The other scenario with the windows not rolling down I was on my way to the doctor my driver side window was down when I pulled up to the parking lot it wouldn't roll back up after I left the doctor I got home 5 hours later I decided to give it another try it was working find. My air bag light has been on for about 4months now and I've notice there's been recalls on my vehicle about the air bag.
