The car had just gone over the warranty (of course) so it was all out of pocket expense. Was told by dealer common problem. The unit is hard to get to so the labor was expensive. The part was plastic.

I have replaced the clicking actuator but now the defrost will not switch down to dash heat. After standing on my head and cramming myself in very uncomfortable positions, I am very frustrated. This is a very well known problem but nothing has been done by Dodge.

I had the infamous clicking from the right side of car, i was able to remove the actuator and reinstall in the correct position to correct the problem.There are you tube videos describing the fix and if you a little handy it can be a 30 min fix.

I have this annoying knocking noise behind the glove box like knocking ,when turning on car or AC.....Im thinking it the blend air actuator..dont know if theres a recall but man its bothers me so I most share and hope that other people have this problem and thees a recall...if so please let me know

The blend door actuator began making noises and would even make noise when the car wasn't running and no one was in it. I took it to a shop in the fall of 2015. I bought the part at a local car part shop and paid the mechanic to replace it. Then approximately 6 months later, it began to happen again. Only this time, BOTH blend door actuators started, it will switch between one and the other. It begins as soon as i open my car door, i don't even have to turn the car on. I have not yet repaired it. THIS NEEDS TO BE COVERED AS A RECALL.

The vehicle started making a tapping noise on the passenger side when it was turned on ... this would go away if the glove box was opened and closed, sometimes it would just stop on its on, sometimes turning off the a/c but apparently this issue has been involved with several technical service bulletins prior to the year of my car. If this is a known problem with Dodge/Chrysler vehicles you would think it would be better now but no I now have a car that is only 2 years old with no technical service bulletins and when I was searching online this appears to be a common problem with this year and model. This is very poor quality and I am beyond furious that because the car is newer they haven't made the TSB yet. I hope that Dodge will make this problem well known and do the right thing regarding the solution because this should not be an issue with that many people in a 2 year time frame if you are making the quality material that is claimed.
