My Avenger's brake light comes on at least 3 times a day. When I took it to Dodge, they said they fixed the issue, but it returned in a week. The car has been either resisting or over-accelerating when I press the gas for about 6 weeks now. My spouse thinks it is a spark plug that is mis-firing, as his 1998 4Runner had the same issue and that fixed the problem. That is a cheap fix, so I wanted to share it. Today was the first time the Avenger completely stalled while I was braking to pull into a space. My Avenger is at 45K miles.
