Yesterday (Saturday) was when the problem began - went to work as usual and got home with no incidence. It wasn't until we attempted to go to pool party that I realized that I couldn't move the gears from park. I tried several times to get my car going by turning it off and on , pumping breaks a couple times hoping something would RESET!!! I was eventually able to "forceably" move the gear from park to reverse but that clearly does me no good considering its illegal to drive this way!!!!!! Thank God for having another vehicle and it being the weeked but we needed to get this issue resolved before Monday!!! Thinking that we could let the vehicle sit over night things would be ok on Sunday...NOT!! Same problem!!!! It wasn't until I got online and googled complaints that I noticed someone's comment about there being a "PINK BUTTON" underneath trimming surrounding the gear stick. AH HA....with flashlight and tools in hand, my fiancee and I got to my car and removed the gear plate and found the PINK BUTTON that needed to be reset. With me in the drivers seat to hold down the break, and him on the passenger seat to push the PINK BUTTON...he was able to shift the gears all the way down and then back up to park. As of now my car is operable!!!! Much THANKS to the person that posted the information about the PINK BUTTON. I will also be calling 800-84-MOPAR (another person posted this #) because this is BS!!!! Dodge knows this is a DEFECT so DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!
