First time it happened when I was at a convention in Mississippi in the summer. Could not understand most of the mechanics I called (tough Cajun accent). They ended up charging me $250 to replace a radiator cap that had nothing to do with the transmission. I now know how to deal with the problem. It is a faulty sensor. The car tries to "protect itself by not letting you drive very fast but still letting you go somewhere for help. It does this about every 2 week (for over 3 years now). The transmissions on these cars are total sh*t anyways.
