This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
While driving 60 mph on the highway vehicle wouldn't shift and suddenly decelerated. Vehicle was taken to the dealer, who stated that problem could be in the engine or the computer, but was not able to determine the problem.
There was a howling noise coming from vehicle. The dealer was contacted and was unable to the duplicate the problem. The dealer suggested it was a customary noise. The dealer replaced the catalytic converter, but the sound still existed. The van was taken again and the exhaust manifold was replaced but there was still no result. (this was the 5th time taken to the dealer with no result) the noise seemed to come when accelerating.
