I was driving down the road like normal and the whole car just powered down. The steering wheel locked up and the brakes got stiff. I was able to stop the car and put it in park and restart it right away with no problem. Thank God I wasn’t on the freeway. But I was in traffic and this could have caused an accident. I had the car checked out by 2 mechanics and they both couldn’t find anything wrong with it. Even the history on the computer isnt showing anything. But I did some looking around and noticed recalls on different models of Chryslers for their TIPM. And so I now have an appointment to get a new TIPM installed at the Chrysler dealership next week. I figured, I may as well put a new one in because more than likely thats what it is but it’s just not happened enough in my year car and so there is no recall on it or anything. It’s going to cost me $1000 but I feel like its better than what could happen if everything shuts down again. Hopefully I’m doing the right thing

Horrible defect, car was stuttering when I applied the gas and left me stranded 50 miles away and could not pick up kids from school. Luckily I had free towing and rental so I was able to get that over with. Overall the Chrysler was in the shop for several weeks. Very surprised my motor was no good and needed NEW heads.

Chrysler did not believe me and stated that the problem was only on the Dodge Caravan and no reports for Chrysler. I advised Chrysler personnel that they both use the SAME motor and makes no sens how the Dodge Caravan has a manufacture defect and not the Chrysler Town & Country.

Overall they realized it WAS a manufacture defect and fixed the problem at no cost.
